About Me
I was born to Romanian immigrants, and though I was born and grew up in the United States, my many visits back to my home country ultimately influenced much of my work. Stories of Count Dracula and mythical beings like vampires, werewolves, giants, ghosts, and trolls, sparked my interest in all things fantasy and horror, and I aspire to create more art that incorporates this interest, but my main goal is to be a concept artist for the entertainment industry.I currently attend Columbus College of Art and Design, majoring in Illustration. My work is mainly digital art, though I sometimes dabble in traditional materials. Much of my work is heavy in atmosphere, inspired in equal parts by the horror games I play and Romanian scenery. Tall mountains covered in fog and old churches, often dark, with only candles to light the space, I create spaces with minimal light sources that cast dramatic shadows on my characters.I also make comics. I have interned and been hired at FreeStyle Komics, an indie comic studio based in Columbus, and have worked on some of the popular series published by the studio. I also have my artwork published in the tenth edition of CCAD's comic anthology Spitball.
The Grande (WIP)
A sneak peak into the mystery and horror that is the Grande's Luxury Resort. Underneath this picturesque, world renowned, and exclusive hotel is a secret laboratory dedicated to the advancement of science and medicine, now overrun with the very monsters it created. This book will guide your escape, and whether you wish to leave or become a part of the resort is ultimately up to you.Inspired by Plastiboo's Vermis, The Grande is an original story told through the medium of a video game guide. This video game does not exist (and it never will), but this reverse dungeon crawler and ARG will immerse you into the world of the Grande's Luxury Resort, making you wish there truly was a game to go along with it.This was my series for my Senior Capstone and it is a project I plan on expanding. It's progress will continue being recorded on my website.
